'#athosoup #asmr #gastronauts Presenting you a warming bowl of fish-banana stem soup, that\'s an  well-known accompaniment or a key ingredient in the signature Burmese dishes like Atho (https://youtu.be/pSm07cNr1NI), Mohinga (https://youtu.be/czUxWG6guzE) and Egg Bejo Soup (https://youtu.be/PgghmfvfHbQ). Fragrance of the fish paste integrates so well with the flavorful broth, studded with banana stem and shallots. While the red chilli oil glistens on the surface, the bejo adds a crunchy twist. This aromatic stew by itself is perfect for an evening supper and is super healthy too!  INGREDIENTS FOR FISH PASTE AND STOCK Fish - 200g fillet or boneless Onion - 1 nos medium sized Ginger - 1 inch Garlic - 3 nos Red chilli - 2 nos Turmeric - 1/4 tsp  FOR SOUP Oil - 1 tsp Onion, chopped - 1 nos Garlic, finely chopped - 3 nos Ginger, finely chopped - 1 inch Rice flour - 1 cup Gram flour - 1/2 cup Banana stem, diced - 2 handsful Shallots - 12 to 15 nos Salt - as required  TO GARNISH Fried onion - 1 large onion deep fried Chilli oil - Hot leftover oil after frying onion is poured into chilli flakes Coriander leaves Bejo crackers (Recipe Video - https://youtu.be/IxXt-t6ooB0)  INSTRUCTIONS PREPARATION OF FISH PASTE AND STOCK 1. Boil water in a soup pan 2. Add onion, ginger, garlic, red chilli, fish pieces and turmeric to it 3. Cover and cook for 5 minutes 4. Drain and let the solid ingredients cool down 5. Simmer the stock untill it reduces to 1/3 volume 6. Finely grind the cooled ingredients to a smooth fine paste  PREPARATION OF SOUP 1. Heat oil in a soup pan 2. Add in onions, garlic, ginger and saute till the raw smell goes off 3. Add in the ground fish paste, rice and gram flour. Mix well 4. Pour in the fish stock, mixer wash and mix well without any lumps 5.
